Promoting, protecting, defending rational dog ownership and the canine-human bond in Maryland.
Mission
To promote, protect and defend reasonable dog ownership and the canine-human bond
Overview
For almost two decades, the Maryland Dog Federation promotes, protects and defends the canine-human bond; encourages and promotes the welfare of dogs and the interests of people connected with dogs; preserves the rights of reasonable dog owners; and presents a rational, balanced approached to dog ownership. MDF is a grass-roots group that is concerned about laws that directly impact over one million dog owners in the Free State. The Federation is comprised of rational, knowledgeable experts who regularly collaborate with other organizations and encourages lawmakers to consult with us early in the legislative process. After careful, non-partisan and rational analysis, MDF supports those issues, policies and legislators that positively effect dog owners and communicates its position to our representatives and constituents.
MDF is a local, grassroots, dog-owner advocate group. We are NOT an animal rights organization.
